CPRE Hedgeplanting
Members collaborated with CPRE to host volunteer hedge planting days, hedge restoration work and training courses. These activities strengthened hedgerow networks, supported wildlife and protected the landscape’s character.
Hedgerow Creation & Renovation - Chris Evans
616 metres of new hedgerow planted, 850 metres restored, 24 hedgerow trees planted, plus fencing of 1,150 metres of watercourses to protect habitats and improve water quality.
Habitat Restoration - Rhian Pinches
822 metres of hedgerow regenerated, 119 metres newly planted, and 397 metres of watercourse protected. Natural flood management features including leaky dams and seepage barriers were installed. 4.3 hectares of woodland and wetland are now protected, with two new wetlands created.
