Who are The Upper Onny Farmers,
and what do we do..
We’re a group of farmers in South Shropshire working collaboratively to strengthen our farms and care for the land we share. By pooling knowledge, supporting each other, and taking a long-term view of land management, we’re building more resilient farm businesses while improving habitats, soil health and biodiversity across the Upper Onny valley.
Our work is rooted in practical action, shared learning and a belief that farming and nature can thrive side by side.

The Upper Onny Farmers Group is proud to be supported by The Royal Countryside Fund. Founded by HM King Charles III in 2010, the charity works across the UK to help family farms and rural communities become more resilient through practical support, funding, and opportunities for collaboration. Thanks to their support, we have been able to grow our farmer-led network, deliver practical events and knowledge-sharing opportunities, develop collaborative projects, and provide resources that benefit both farming businesses and the natural landscape of the Upper Onny Valley.

Events
We host regular events where farmers can meet, talk, and learn from each other. They’re relaxed, practical, and rooted in real experience, a space to swap ideas, share challenges, and build stronger connections across our farming community.
